I went shopping today with my sister. I didn’t “dress up” but I did have a nice pair of 3/4 pants and a pink/black top on. I also left my hair down which is unusual because I ALWAYS have it up in a bun or a pony tail.

So I was sitting on the floor in the living room with my back to the front door. I was changing the baby’s nappy.

A couple of the kids from a few houses up knocked on the door and when I turned around from where I was sitting and said hi to them, one of them looked really surprised and said “Oh, Tina, I thought you were a visitor! I haven’t seen you dressed like that before”.

Now, I’m thinking it is because they have never seen me with my hair down and NOT because of the fact that they have seen me get my mail from the mail box in my pajamas too many times…lol

I have never felt so nervous and sick to the stomach in all my life. We’ve been waiting for this day for a while now and here it is. The tension in the air is thick in the mummified household.

Although I refuse to discuss this private matter on any of my blogs, I do hope that you will keep me and my family in your thoughts today and hope for a positive outcome.

We were laughing today because whenever we asked the baby a question where the answer was yes, she’d nod her head and say “aye” just like DH does.

So DH took advantage of this and started talking to her with his Scottish accent (which really only comes out when he’s talking to his relatives, or when he’s drunk…lol)

The kids always have a great time imitating him, especially when he says words like “werrums” (worms…you just got to imagine the “rolling R’s”) and booook (book, for those playing at home). Again, imagine a Scottish person saying “book”.

But, I digress.

I think he’s hoping that at least one of his children sound more like him instead of sounding like “kangas” LOL
